Maxmini has a great new Siege Gun kits that is designed to work with the Games Workshop Chimera chassis. It comes in two versions, stationary siege gun or a stripped down version for mounting on a basilisk deck.
Contents: This kit comes with the Siege Gun, Shell Loader, two Support Arms, one Cross Support, Siege Gun platform, Deck platform and 3 Sand Bag Walls that allow you to use it as a stationary siege gun if you don’t want to mount it in a Chimera chassis.
Quality: The casting quality is top notch. There is very little flash, no warping and everything fits together nicely. The quality of the resin is also very good. It’s nice and firm, doesn’t feel porous at all and has a nice smooth finish.

Value: I feel the value of this kit is quite high. Not only can you use it as a stationary field artillery piece but the folks at MaxMini were smart enough to design it so that it slides into a chimera chassis just like a Basilisk platform. Therefore you get two uses out of this single kit. If you use it as a stationary gun it comes with 3 sand bag walls which just add to the overall value as you can easily use them elsewhere if you use it in the Chimera. It also comes with a neat little loader for the shells which is just icing on the cake.

Look/Feel: It has a nice look and feel to it, it “fits” into the 40k universe and meshes well with the existing IG style. Sitting next to the other tanks and artillery it doesn’t look out of place. It has a distinct 40k aura about itthat is appealing to IG players.
