Hello again boys and girls, Unicorns and children of all ages, it’s Brent here, and despite spending 18-hours in a car driving home from Adepticon to Texas I’ve chosen to stay up a bit later to bring you this video.  No, it’s not Goatboy Behaving Badly; it’s better.  Here’s the video with Tony, the Adepticon big winner…
…and I can pretty much guarantee this video will surprise you!

And yea, like I said in the video: he put all the doubts to rest.

Just a few words, then I’m off to bed.

First, I really, really liked this kid!  He’s smart, courteous, and accomplished.  He’s an Eagle Scout who will no doubt go on to college and the career of his choice.  To my mind, he was happiest in the lobby talking over the game with his friends.

I sat not four feet from him during the game, chatting only occasionally with the dudes from Independent Character, and what I saw was a young man who knew how to play at a very high level.  His opponent was Cole, a tournament veteran and former Hard Boyz winner, and he played on top table surrounded by people kibitzing quietly among themselves on every move…

…now add a camera to that!  What’s my point?

That couldn’t have been easy.  Not for anyone, but though the pressure was there (’cause he told me) he didn’t really react to it.  Tony and Cole played the game quickly and without referencing the rulebook.

They didn’t need to.  To I need to reiterate that lesson ad nauseum?

I hope you enjoy the interview.

Tony, good luck to you and I hope to see you around.

The hat works for him; remember, he’s 16-years old – and what’s possibly the funniest thing about all this is he intended to enter the Youngblood’s Tournament!  Try to remember his age as you comment, because what’s allowable and appropriate for a normal post isn’t going to fly if you direct it at him personally.

Keep in mind, I had to get permission from his parents to interview him for this site; let’s all be worthy of that regard.

But you guys know that – I didn’t really need to say it!

Till next time.
