40K SHOWCASE: STUNNING Alpha Legion by Cerxis.de
I’ve seen a lot of amazing work on CSMs – but nothing like THIS! WOW!
First off, let me talk about the painting. Cerxis has a great take on the mottled blue-green Alpha Legion scheme that almost looks like it changes color from various angles. I’ve seen a lot of painters try it to varying degrees of success, but it really shines here.
On the conversion side of things, I am blown away by the combination of the CSM, Dark Angel, and Space Marine bits. The army does really feel like a mysterious shrouded force that could just pop out behind enemy lines and cause havoc among bumbling Imperial forces. You get he feeling that a lot of the Dark Angels Fallen made their way into Alpharious’ ranks when you see this force.
Heck, you can barely even tell Cypher is in there, and that’s a good thing, because the rest of the army is so amazing.
