LEGO: Jabba’s Sail Barge Lets You Recreate ‘Return of the Jedi’ UCS Style

Hitting stores soon we’ve got an amazing addition to the LEGO UCS lineup. This is the classic Jabba’s Sail Barge from Return of the Jedi. And man has this thing never looked so good. It’s an absolutely stunning build that just oozes details and character. At two and a half feet long its also pretty dang massive.
What’s also super impressive about this build is the play space. A lot of the UCS lineup is more for display than play and doesn’t always have a ton going on with it. However, the sail barge takes after the UCS Death Star in that it is jam-packed with stuff and rooms to play around in. The whole barge opens up and contains a fully detailed interior with tons of details and play features. It just looks super cool.

Build one of the major This model is over 30 inches when built and has adjustable textile sails and a top deck that lifts off to reveal the detailed interior. Below deck, you’ll find the cockpit, prison cell, armory, and entertainment room equipped with Jabba’s bed. Up top there’s places for guards as well as a heavy blaster.
The set also includes 11 minifigs including C-3PO, Princess Leia, and Bib Fortuna. Plus, an R2-D2 LEGO droid figure wearing a bar table, like in Return of the Jedi.
Once you’ve built the massive LEGO Jabba’s Sail Barge, complete the display with the included LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary brick. Want an even bigger display? This UCS set has a companion set with a desert skiff and Sarlacc pit (featured below) that’s in the same scale.

Complete The Scene With The Desert Skiff & Sarlacc Pit
Now, most UCS kits are pretty stand-alone. They don’t tend to have a lot of add-ons or anything, but the Sail Barge is a bit of an outlier here again. LEGO has also just released the new Desert Skiff & Sarlacc Pit set.
This is its own stand alone kit you can pretty easily combine in with the UCS Sail Barge to fill out the classic Return of the Jedi scene. There isn’t any overlap in the mini-figs either so with both you can complete the cast. It’s a pretty cool little addition and the two sets fit together super well.

This is an amazing update of one of the very first UCS kits and a total dream if you like the Empire.
