40k HOBBY: Painting stuff I am working on
Most likely these things will get done next week, after Adepticon, but here is a small post on what I am painting.
These are the first two Arbites from a small commission I am doing. He wanted to go with a darker looking style, and I seem to be fit for that haha. I am trying out some different techniques, mixing my more artistic style with a more extreme highlights mix. Sorry for the bad pictures, I need to find room to set up a picture area in my office. I got some hints from BigRed and I am planning on having a nice set up in the coming month.
Next we have the unpainted stuff sitting on my desk. I finished off a big batch of daemons so of course I am looking at my marines next, as well as finishing this one defiler that is just sitting there wondering when he will get painted up and disgusting. The third thing in the picture is a new Plague marine squad that will get done at some point. It is set up with 2 meltas, combi-melta, and a power fist. Now I just need to put together one of my extra rhinos and make it all gross etc.
After I get back it is looking like I will have a high elf commission coming and some marine stuff. I am hoping to finish the Arbites by the middle of April (I have an animation project I need to finish up) and then marines by the end of April. Will see.
