Goatboy – My Adepticon Lists – Initial Thoughts and Decisions
Goatboy here again – showing you my lists I plan on bringing to Adepticon. My plans are just to bring Space Goats as well as hopefully bringing along my fledgling Cryx Army. I have been enjoying painting the metal models as well as the first game I played with MK II rules last Thursday. I will talk more about that at a later time as this is all about my Adepticon planning.
First of all, as you know from Mkerr’s first post, I am the Wonder Woman of the team. Now if you don’t know anything about how she is now in the new DC universe just know she is the warrior supreme. She goes for the kill and power wise is right behind Superman. Plus I get a bad ass invisible jet, some fly arm jewelry, and a lasso of no cheatin. So I have two different lists thought for the Team Tournament, as well as my Gladiator lists and Championship lists too.
Team Tournament – Space Goats – List 1 – Off with your Head!!!

Things that can be easily changed – all the razorbacks could have different set up (TWL Lascannons, TWL Hvy Flamers, Lascannon TWL Plasma) which would give me some different options for the Thunder Wolves. This is a kinda annoying list and doesn’t fall into my normal build designs for an army (very aggressive assault elements). I built this to race with Mkerr for killing special characters.

This list is just a balanced force. Nothing too crazy, I have options versus a lot of different opponents. I am not sure how well it will do as it feels kinda vanilla. I want to run a Land Raider as it will be neat, but it might just get dropped to fill up the slots with Razorbacks.

Here is my Gladiator list that I plan on throwing down with. It is designed to not miss any single part as all bits are equally good for most situations. I have a feeling with the push for some nonsense from some FW goodies we might get some wonky missions that somehow turn off or take those jerky models out of the picture. Of course, knowing my luck I will face a first game Warhound with some annoying goodies that just ruins my day.

Each unit is designed to help the other bits of the army. I added in the Long Fangs to help with the Eldar issues, the Land Raider is there as a big scary thing, that really isn’t as much of a worry. I have dumped some points into it, but versus specific armies it is a problem while other lists will have issues with the other bits of the army. The big pack of dogs is to help protect versus drop pod lists and anything else. It is basically a large bubble warp that can help keep your tanks away from the dread 6 inches away melta blast.
Finally here is my 1850 list, and as you can tell it was built off of the above Gladiator list. With the points limit not being nearly as close as others, this allowed me to create a similar feel list within the smaller points limit.

Again like above, this is looking at putting a lot of guys on the table. I could afford to drop one Razorbacked squad for a full batch of puppies if need be. That might be where the change up might occur if I feel the drop podding nature of new Nids and Marine players might bother the army. Again these are just test lists that are straining to cover as many bases as I can and still be competitive enough to be a threat on the table.
