40k: Intriguing Thunderhawk…

So the Forgeworld Thunderhawk is a fantastic kit.  Most people who have never seen one in person underestimate their sheer size and heft.  Mine clocks in at just under five pounds, and is quite an unwieldy model.

Now take a look at these two pics from yesterday’s Games Workshop Apocalypse army spreads.

Holding my Forgeworld Thunderhawk in my hands right now, I’m very, very impressed by that Studio Member’s model.  Its mounting and positioning angle on that thin base is very impressive for such a massive heavy model.  I’m not sure I could replicate it myself.
