Goatboy’s 40k Lists – Foot Armies?
Goatboy with some lists to think about. I talked about foot lists and I want to post up some of the lists that float around in my head. Who knows if they will work as these are just thought lists but they are worth thinking about as tournaments start to look at Kill Points to be a viable mission objective.
Ork Horde – The Walking Tide of Green!
HQ: Ghazghul Thraka
HQ: Mad Doc

So basically you move up as a unit and the Mega Nobz are there as a counter assault. It will be a pain to play so if you decide to do it – know you move the first front Orks first and you can easily move all the others behind them. With the Orks surrounding Mad Doc and Ghaz you should keep their rage in check enough to assault where you can.
Marine Horde – The Smurfs are Pissed!
HQ: Calgar, Plus his Pimp Armor
Elites: Assault Terminators with Th/SS X 10
Troops: Marines X 10, Flamer, Missile Launcher, Combi-Flamer

So you got lots of marines and you can combat squad almost all of them and still say FU to kill point missions. There is a ton of Missile Fire and you can always control if you want to run or stay. The Terminators are there to make anyone scared to come near you.

With the Baron’s Stealth Ability he can join one of the Warrior unit and give them a 3+ cover save in case of not going first. Mix that with FNP and you got a unit that will frustrate people to try and kill. If there is a good hiding place in the terrain you can start the Haemonculus hiding and use the webway to cheat where you go. Not sure if this will work but it is a foot thought army that might give a big middle finger to all the anti tank stuff you see around.

So you walk around with this crazy unit of 4+ inv save jerks with Abbadon ready to go punch something that gets too close. Everything else just moves around and gets ready. The meltagun load out of Plague Marines means that if you get tank shocked off an objective you could blow them up.
So there are some foot lists – what other nutty stuff can you think of? We have Footdar and people more familiar with the list can write better lists then I can. I just wanted to throw out some to get the thought process going. Your turn.
