40K World’s Biggest Apocalypse Game – Results
Remember this piece of awesome Apocalypse craziness from a few weeks back? Well the game is past and here’s how it went down:
The Big Game, billed as the World’s biggest Apocalypse Game, lived up to its name and smashed the world records. The game kicked off at 11am and ended at 11:30pm. What was really cool was how everyone had so many positive comments about the event and how much fun they had.
There were two tables. The first were 18 4′ x 8′ tables and two 4′ x 6′ tables setup in a 4-legged “M” shape. Then there were three 8′ tables for the unpainted models.
So First – The Numbers
The previous record for the Biggest Apocalypse Game was 382,000 by Siegeworld, St. Louis, MO (All painted models, one contiguous playing surface, 4 turns)
The Big Game had 743,230 painted points on one table. RECORD SMASHED!
The previous record for the Biggest Apocalypse Battle was 520,000 by GMI games in Riverside, CA (unpainted models OK, multiple tables OK)
The Big Game had 848,000 on two tables. RECORD SMASHED!
The previous record for the most minis in a single battle was 6,500 minis by Siegeworld, St. Louis, MO
Total minis is still being calculated, but was well over 10,000 miniatures. RECORD SMASHED!
