So I got two Storm Raven kits to convert over to the Goat Angels. Yes I know that all I am doing is making the internet mad and having legions of people kick me in the jimmie – but come on Spike covered Storm Ravens sound pretty freakin cool! So while I get my plastic models of doom ready here is the initial play list I will throw down probably in the next week or so.

Goat Angels – Revenge of the Goat – Attack of the Fist – Butt Stomp 4000!!!

HQ: Reclusiarch – GOAT POPE SUPER PUNCH!
Elites: Chaplain – BROTHER BAA!!!
Elites: Assault Terminators X 5, Th/SS X 5 – The Back Up Dancers
Elites: Sanguinary Priest X 1 – Little John with his Pimp Cup
Troops: Death Company X 10, Power Weapon X 2, Powerfist – The Goats in Black!
Troops: Death Company Dread, Blood Talons – Bad Touch Ben!
Troops: Death Company Dread, Blood Talons – Wolf’s Proctologist!
Troops: Assault Squad x 5, Razorback, TWL Lascannon – Hide and Observe!
Troops: Assault Squad X 10, Meltagun X 2, Powerfist, Rhino – Midrange Punks!
Heavy: Storm Raven, TWL MM, TWL Lascannon, Extra Armor – Cadillac of Death!
Heavy: Storm Raven, TWL MM, TWL Lascannon, Extra Armor – Dancers Bus!

1845 on the nose. Man I wish I had more points to play with – if so you might see another troop choice or a Librarian.

So basically you fly your fists of Goat forward and hope for the best. This is the first initial thought and I feel that the Storm Raven is a much cooler vehicle then we have all thought of. There are specific builds that benefit from it. And there is nothing to sneeze at a vehicle flying 24″, getting a cover save, and blowing up your Land Raider. Blood Talon dreads were just missing their delivery system and the Raven is probably the best way. They can just hit a squad and make it a nice pink mist.

The army lacks some scoring power and I worry that a smart opponent would just kill those two squads. It is what I would do if I played a similar list as creating a draw or lose scenario for an opponent is a good way to keep yourself moving forward in any of the upcoming tournaments that look towards a W/L system.

I plan on having my Storm Ravens put together by this weekend with hopefully some paint on them Friday if the weather holds. Then everyone will have to be scared as my Goat Angels white Dreadnoughts of doom come down and brings in the business.

Bring it!
