SHOWCASE: Darkwynn’s Kabal of the Orange Blossom
Darkwynn’s been busy this winter. Lets take a look at his latest Dark Eldar army. And to think that some people say he’s only good at playing…
First a story. This army was going nowhere fast in November and early December. Then during the holidays Darkwynn went to stay with family in an Appalachian cabin for a week. We suggested he pack his army with him, just in case he needed some activity to get away from the relatives. Well one seven day blizzard later, the Cabal was done and a cabin fevered Darkwynn, salted his (and his car’s) way to freedom! Ho Dark Eldar!
Stylistically, the army uses a medium grey with light grey linear highlights, with a bright orange as its contrast color. The cherry/orange blossom detailing is very unusual and is contrarian to the evil sharp edged Dark Eldar design aesthetic – yet it works. It certainly turns heads whenever it hits the tabletop.
