Kromlech released this tank turret a while back.  I finally got one for myself.  I plan to use it in my CRM army.

Note: I use my own scoring system for rating models.
1 toof -Far below average This product turned out to be a piece of junk.(rare)
2 teef – below average but not terrible. This product was a slight let down. (below average)
3 teef – Good, average, this product meets my expectations (average)
4 teef – superior to most of the products out there in either price, quality, etc this product goes above my expectations. (above average)
5 teef – Extremely high value or quality. This product blows me away. (rare)

Quality: Kromlech continues to impress me with their casting abilities. Their products consistently look great. No air bubbles, no mold lines, no warping, just a nice clean cast. I definitly feel the quality of their casts are above average, however, I am seeing other small companies with similar quality. So before too long this maybe be the norm but for now its still slightly above average.

Value: I’m sure some people will wonder why would you ever buy this when GW makes a plasma cannon turret for the Leman Russ Battle Tank. If you are starting a new army this may not hold much value for you, I get that. But if you are like me and already have more tanks than you need its a great value. For about $13 you can add a neat alternate plasma cannon turret to an existing tank chassis. So for me it was a no brainer and I am very happy with it.

Look/Feel: I play 40k (on the rare occasion that I get to play at all) so my views are taken from that perspective. So to me the tank turret fits. Its got the boxy archaic shape coupled with the high tech plasma coils of the Tormentor cannon. Its a good match of styles that plays into the whole 40k universe. It works especially well for me since I play chaos guard but would also work for other more imperial minded armies.

So in general I think its a high qaulity product at a fair price that fits into the 40k univers. And lets be honest, that’s really what this is made for. So for people looking for something different or for someone just wanted to modify some existing tanks its a good buy.
