Hordes: Skorne Plastics Unboxing
May 23rd will see the release of a whole slew of Skorne goodness. While a lot of these, like the Battlegroup and Skorne heavy kit, are plastic resculpts, there are some brand new releases as well.
The latter are the Cyclops Raider which I’ll be showing here, and the Siege Animantarax which you’ve seen already.
The box comes with the Skorne warlock Master Tormentor Morghoul, two Cyclops Savages, and a Titan Gladiator. As far as I can tell, the Savages are identical. The round joints on their arms should allow them to be posed differently though.
These are all the Titan pieces. Now lets do some close-ups.
Check out the shoulder pads and that angry titan head.
The body is also a bit different from any of the old metal kits. This means any veteran Skorne players who want to add new titans to their force won’t have to worry about them looking completely identical.
The detail on this guy is nice and clean. Check out the ropes hanging from his belt.
And then there’s this cool little bit that hangs from his tabard.
But I think the coolest part of the box is Morghul here. He seems to be every bit as detailed as his metal version. And check out the crisp detail on those clawed gauntlets.
Like the plastic light warjack kits we’ve already seen, the first plastic light beast kit comes as a sack of bits in a box.
Here’s a close up of those pieces that define him as a Raider.
Here’s a closer look at the pieces that weren’t in the Battlegroup. I think the new Canonneer is a big improvement over the old metal one. Now he has a strap over his shoulder to support the cannon instead of having one of the secondary arms hold it up. That arm now holds a cannonball. Most of the sentry pieces by comparison, seem to be identical to the old metal ones. Although that’s in no way a bad thing: the Sentry was always a nice looking kit.
