BREAKING: Dreadball – Mantic goes Tron

Ohh, look what just showed up.  Mantic has a new fancy boardgame in the pipe that looks a lot like Tron Legacy.  Here’s the latest info.

So the Kings of War hardback just shipped and with a successful Kickstarter behind them it looks like Ronnie and the gang at Mantac are in the mood to diversify a bit.  Here’s the first teasers we’ve seen for “Dreadball – The Futuristic Sport Game” said to arriving later this year.

So first off, this has the feel of a Tron-Speedball-Rollerball kind of mashup in a dark (yet sexily lit) universe.  The inital art of a human could be the only teams involved, or it might be set in the Warpath universe.  Who knows, there might be Forgefather, and Veer-myn teams around the corner.

In any case, I would like to put in my personal request for an Olivia Wilde character on the Human team.  Please Ronnie, can we have please have Quorra and a Daft Punk soundtrack – pretty please????
