40K RUMORS: Chaos Cultists

Welcome back everyone.  Summer’s over, the holidays are behind us, and school is back in session.  Lets get right to it Warhammer 40,000 fans –  Chaos Cultists!

First up the newest “leaked” document:

Now lets compare it to the purported Chinese document from months back (bottommost 2 units):

So, lets take a hard look at these guys, said to be headed out way in late September after the Codex Chaos Space Marine debut at GamesDay UK.  On first glance, we have identical statlines – that’s always a plus in the credibility department.

So we have a unit of 30 dudes for 100 points.  Add in a handful of flamers, or heavy stubbers, based on whether you want rear field objective holding, or some aggressive burninating of the countrysize.  In any case, you’re still under 100 points and some change for the unit – which is almost certainly scoring. They have average leadership, and that mysterious “Servants of Chaos” rule.

These guys are effectively lightly armored Guardsmen, at half the cost.  I’m thinking those plastic cultists are going to be pretty popular a month from now.

I’m gonna start stocking up now. How do you plan on exploiting; erm, I mean “leading” your cultists?.
