The Big Game is the annual “World’s Biggest Apocalypse Game”. 2013 marks year three of the event, which has involved over 230 locations over 5 countries each of the past two years.
Started in 2011 at the Los Angeles Games Workshop Battle Bunker, The Big Game has set most of the major Apocalypse records. This year will be even bigger. First or all, The Big Game III’s main location is shifting from Los Angeles to Memphis. Why? Well, James Bell, the Games Workshop Bunker manager moved from the L.A. store to the Memphis Bunker this year. And since James was instrumental in starting The Big Game, and he is building up the Memphis business at the HQ store, it was felt that this would be a great way to support him. And who doesn’t like a road trip!

Plus, the other two big Apocalypse clubs who help found the Apocalypse40K Forums, Siegeworld from St. Louis, MO and Apoc-Eclipse from Apex, North Carolina are both able to attend the event in Memphis and I think that is huge for the Apocalypse community.
The game will be held on Saturday, March 16th, 2013.
THE MEMPHIS BATTLE BUNKER LOCATION
Set-Up will start on Friday, but you don’t need to be there then. You can set up Saturday am as doors open at 8am and the game starts at 10:00am. We will finish at 11:00pm and turns will be timed. Lunch will be provided in the entry fee ($ 10) as well as soda and snacks all day!
All day Friday, players will be arriving, armies will be on display and we will set up tables and terrain. There will be a Friday night dinner and much drinking (they do a lot of that in the south I hear). Saturday we will bring in Pizza for lunch, and have a 90 minute dinner break so we can all go out, socialize and get off our feet for a bit!
The Memphis Battle Bunker aka “World of Battle”
I will be renting an SUV, loading it with everything I own, and driving across the country (which I have wanted to do since seeing “Cars”). The rules have been set and I have asked Matt Plonski of Apoc-Eclipse and Kirk Daman from SiegeWorld to write the scenario. But you don’t have to play in Memphis. Anyone can host a game that counts towards the results in the world-wide event.

WORLD WIDE LOCATIONS
As with the previous two years, we will be opening the game up to clubs and stores world-wide. So if you or your buddies want to host a game on March 16th, we will count it towards the overall results!
What does it take to be a location for The Big Game III? A desire to play with LOTS of models. The only rules you have to follow are:
1) Forces of Light vs Forces of Dark
2) One objective per 10,000 points.
3) Play four turns.
