Faeit’s 40k Rumor Tarot: Heresy and The Machine

FW Projects
Forgeworld is forever on a release schedule that keeps its enthusiasts very happy. Looking ahead this week, there were rumors that the next book for the Horus Heresy will be coming in September, and even mention of Prospero coming late next year.

1) HH: Massacre just after Orpheus, September.
Then Warhammer Fantasy (Lustria) campaign and dino releases end 2013, early 2014.
Expect HH: (Massacre 2) middle 2014 and HH: (Prospero) late 2014 / early 2015.
2) Miniatures:
HH sell really well!
Specific HH chapter Contemptors, special characters and dioramas with book releases, as expected.
New Jetbike design (less sleek more angles).
Legion Stormblade soon.
Ravenguard specific Stormraven variant.
As with Thallax, there will be small units and characters for Custodes and Sisters of Silence after Prospero release.
Also, Malcador and Garro mini diorama in 2014, Russ and Johnson duel in 2015.
Mechanicus Adeptus
Early during the week, there were some rumors widely considered to be way out there regarding a Mechanicus Adeptus codex release that was penciled in for late 2014. This would be a very cool release that I would be all over, and of course it very much falls into speculation and wishlisting.
Don’t get me wrong, I want it to be true. I have even had a couple anonymous emails that have proclaimed its real, however without something to help validate it, the emails are just that.

GW is not introducing any new full armies. They’re really happy with the spectrum of options currently available.
Forgeworld is adding a few mechanicus units per Horus Heresy Book, that by the time they’re on the 3rd or 4th book will have enough options for a full list.
Mini-Dex’s
The idea of mini-dex’s is something that I am sure most of the community wants very badly. I would love to see the following to become mini-dex’s… Kroot, Genestealer Cults, Adeptus Mechanicus, and many more. They would be very exciting releases, and I think as a hobby we would be all over it.
So are these coming in 6th edition? Not right now they are not according to sources. However after the codices all hit (within a 3 year window according to misc rumors) its quite possible we might see something.

There are still ideas about mini-dex’s that have very few options and are very one dimensioned.I.E.1 HQ choice1-2 troops1 Elite/Fast Attack/Heavy Support
Granted you could run it as a pure army but it wouldn’t work very well.They’re a ways out. After all the codexes are updated.
What’s Next?
Eldar are widely expected to be released in June now, as just about every rumor source has his money on it. There are a few whispers of Space Marines in June, but as a whole I believe those have been very decidedly squashed into oblivion. Here is an example, and really all you need.
