Opinion: This week’s show was full of tournament reviews and FAQ evaluations! Not only did we get a good look at two RTTs that’s to Pat and Eric, but Adepticon as well, with Alan making it to the Top 16!I cannot tell you the value I find in these sorts of reviews, so much one can learn from them. Not to mention the first look at those interesting FAQs.Overall, this was my favorite podcast for the week, very educating!

Opinion:For those who were not aware, one of Adepticon’s top 16 players is a regular on the 40K Global podcast, and this was a great look at his first day at the epic event.Josh Robert’s broke down every detail of his first four games, and I hung on every word. This was just a real personal glimpse into the mind and tactics one of the best players in the world.I highly recommend this one!
Highlights:This week the guys have another one of their list building shows, and it is dedicated to the new Tau codex! They opened up the show with the ‘news’ were they talked about the latest wave of FAQs from GW and some of their rulings and Necron dominance at Adepticon 2013.They took a look at the lists that made it to the top 16 and what unit themes crossed all of those lists. They moved on to their list building segment where they build 1850 list designed to combat the Necron lists of Adepticon. They discuss their building strategies with adding in plenty of Skyfire and a good amount of Troops. They start off with the Heavy Support choices and spec them out to the most optimal builds. They then move on to the HQ slot and stayed away from named characters. They then discussed Troops and the pack the list mostly with Fire Warriors but discuss the benefits of Kroot Snipers. They then move on to talk about Fast Attack, and this mainly focused on Pathfinders and means of getting Marker Lights into the army. They then fill out the rest of the army, with cool toys like the Riptide and Crisis Suit teams. They then run down the complete list once again, making sure to highlight its strengths and key upgrades and how well it would match up versus those killer Adepticon lists! They closed out the show with an update on their hobby progress, which included quite a bit of new Tau models!
Opinion: One of their signature shows, this week the guys take a closer look at the hot Tau Codex and put together one heck of a competitive list. There are quite a few good tricks and tips revealed along the way.I especially like how they focused this to face a particular style of list, particularly those top tournament lists.I hope this is something they keep doing!I really liked this week’s show, check it out, and Necron player fear the wrath of the Tau!
Highlights:This week the guys managed to squeeze in a show just after the craziness that was Adepticon 2013!This show is basically an interview show, all recorded at this year’s event.First, they had an interview with the great Nick Nanavati who took Overall Champion with his Necrons-Grey Knights and the legendary Tony Kopach who took 2nd Overall with his Space Marine-Imperial Guard list. The guys discussed the genius of their lists, their most challenging matchup during the event, and of course the game they played against each other!Their also discussed how they prepare for the big events like Adepticon and offer up some tips for those would be big tournament players!Next, they talked to Mr. Justin from Secret Weapon Miniatures and they discussed some of the classes he ran, the products that sold off the shelves at the event, his winning entry to the Crystal Brush, and his Kickstarter for Tablescape!Next, they guys talked to Doug Johnson and Todd from Table War, albeit in mid conversation, about their Adepticon experience overall. This included the latest releases from their miniature case line, the new ‘light up’ cases, their overall experiences at the event this year, and much more.Next, Mark talked to Chris and Chris from PoweredPlay.net and they discussed their new Kickstarter for lighting up your miniatures!
Opinion: This was just anoutstanding show this week, jammed full of everything that made Adepticon great this year. First, the interviews with Nick and Tony were just amazing. To hear advice on tournament from these two guys was a ttotal fan-boy moment for me. Also, hearing from great hobbiest like misterjustin, Doug Johnson, and theguys from PoweredPlay.net were extraordinary! Great work guys!
Highlights:This week the boys are getting back into the swing of things and pick up with a review of the Daemons Codex. This week Kenny and his wife opened up the show with a brief discussion on how they plan to cover the Codex this week. Then, the cast is awfully full as a lot of the 28s are in the studio or online. They start off with what they have been up to lately in gaming and the hobby. They open up with their one-word description of the codex before moving on to a more complete once over view of the book. They then moved on to the Universal Special Rules of the army, the Warpstorm Table, Demonic Alignment, and their Warlord Traits and Psychic Powers, per god. They glazed over the Exalted Reward, focusing on the Hellforged Artifacts! They move on to discuss the HQ units, coving the Bloodthirster, the Lord of Change, the Great Unclean One, and much more! After a break, the guys picked back up with the heralds of Chaos, hitting on the 4 for one Herald rules, the Loci, the mounts and chariots available, and the generic entries and special characters like the Mask, the Changing, Karanak and much more!
Opinion: This week’s show was a nice little change of pace from all of the Adepticon and Tau talk.It is great to have these guys back and with an awesome look at the Daemons Codex. This book really seemed to vanish in the warp with the launch of the Tau, and it was fine time to take a look at this diamond in the rough. The boys did their usual great job of looking at it, and I look forward to part two.
