It’s that time of year folks – the annual GW price increase. But this one comes with a twist…
This year folks girded their loins and prepared for the worst. In an era of $115 Wraithknights and $100 Limited Edition codices folks were prepared for anything.
Then word came down from GW to retailers:
1. They would not be increasing the price of products they produce this year. 2. They would be increasing the price of products they do not produce (paints, sprays, etc).
So it looks like this year the only things going up are:
-Paints @8% price increase
-Brushes @8% price increase
So we stand a crossroads. For the first time in a very very long time, GW has held the line on their miniatures kits. The question is WHY?
Have we at last seen the bleeding edge of increases? Has GW at last found the upper end of thier pricing structured and reached the equilibrium point, above which further increases will negatively affect overall revenue.
~Have at it and enjoy your (non-paint) reprieve from the annual hatchet to your wallet!
