40K Rules Conundrum: Displacer Field Mystery

You know you can’t resist a good old-fashioned rules conundrum.  Its like trying to not look at someone getting a ticket on the roadside.

the Lounge’s Brian Wesley writes:

“OK wise sages of the rules….

What happens if a Dark Angels IC is close to the edge of the board and is forced to take a 3++ Displacer Field save and displaces off the board?”

For the record, the Displacer Field’s exact text reads:

“…When a model suffers displacement, it immediately scatters D6″. If the scatter casues the bearer to arrive on top, or within 1″, of another unit or impassable terrain, alter the scatter by the minimum amount possible (in any direction) to prevent this.”
