Lots of items bubbling up from all over regarding the second half of 2014.  Let’s take a closer look.

First of all, go check out the 2-month old January rumors here Q1-2 2014 Schedule post HERE and here Q3-4 2014 Schedule post HERE.

It turns out with hindsight that in particular the Q1-2 rumor slate was pretty dang accurate.  As we move into Q2 of 2014, and hindsight combined with the latest rumor scuttlebutt paints a slightly different picture.  All the same actors are in play, just moved about in the rumor-schedule.  Here is the latest:

Onto Q2-3 2014!

March – Imperial Knights (duh), CSM miniwave (Helbrute, Havocs)

April – Imperial Guard (aka Astra Militarium)
May / June – Warhammer Fantasy 9th (pre-orders in May, shipping in June – unknown details)

Post June – Warhammer 40,000  7th

Free Agents: Codex:Orks & WFB:Wood Elves  (Both of these are said to be coming in the Q2-3 timeframe but with the new weekly release schedule, there are several windows they could be slotted into.

Dataslates: There is chatter the much rumored Chaos Veterans book may arrive as a Dataslate, along with others to help spike sales of the associated CSM kits (I’m looking at you Helbrute!).

Now a couple of notes on this.  One as always these things get more inexact as we go farther and farther out, and GW could certainly have enough time to change up any of these more distant items based on market conditions.

Next, we have seen a general steady drumbeat from multiple sources saying that we may indeed see GW update BOTH of their core systems in some fashion this year.  Something I can’t ever remember happening before. But the catch is that at least on the 40K these are the “soft” updates meant to tidy things up instead of bringing grand change.

~Hmm, that’s a lot to take in.  Have at it everybody!
