RUMORS: White Dwarf Rules Returning Soon
There has been talk of White Dwarf dipping their tie into the old-school world of providing new army rules and combos – just like the old days. Here’s the first one since the weekly format changeover:
MsDarkness on Warseer writes:
There a good chance that mono armies of Khorne, Nurgle, Tzseentch & Slaanesh, will be able to pick units from both Warriors & Daemon books. The armies have to be of one mark. With no unmarked unit or characters allowed. He said it could be in a White Dwarf real soon.
The person flat mate work at GW Global HQ.
Now to me, the real issue here has nothing to do with 40K or Fantasy, or even Chaos or any particular army. The real key is if this rumor pans out in the next few weeks is the return of variant army rules in White Dwarf – something we used to see all the time in the Golden Age of White Dwarf.
While GW has been mastering the art of charging $50 for 80pp of fluff and 4 pages of rules with the supplememtal codices, I would still welcome oddball or esoteric mashups via White Dwarf.
Of course, this will only make the ruleset sprawl only increase speed…
Keep your eye’s peeled.
