Lots of new releases this week and the IG are coming!

IMPERIAL GUARD

(They are just called something else now)  Unveiled this week.  Finally a Hydra kit.  We have only waited like 8 years.

The Astra Militarum, commonly known as the Imperial Guard, is comprised of countless soldiers from a million worlds. They are mere mortals in a galaxy of gods and monsters, and yet, at a time when the Imperium of Mankind is beset on all sides, it is the duty of the Astra Militarum to hold back the tide.

Inside this 104 page, full colour hardback book you will find:

– An account of how the Astra Militarum rose from the ashes of treachery to win honour and glory amid ten thousand years of bloodshed.
– Full descriptions of all the characters, units and vehicles available to the Astra Militarum; including each unit’s role on the battlefield, its rules and unique skills.
– A comprehensive army list that allows you to form an Astra Militarum collection into a glorious and deadly tabletop army.
– A showcase of Astra Militarum miniatures presented in the different colour schemes of the many famous regiments.

The Hydra Flak Tank is equipped to blow aerial foes out of the sky. Armed with twin-linked Hydra autocannons and a predictive logic-spirit, few airborne foes could survive the howling onslaught of the Hydra’s firepower.

The Wyvern Suppression Tank exchanges the Hydra’s anti-aircraft autocannons for a pair of twin-linked stormshard mortars. The tank excels in the claustrophobic environment of urban warfare, raining curtains of shrapnel down upon enemy infantry without ever exposing itself to harm.

This plastic kit can be assembled as either a Hydra or a Wyvern with 2 crewmen: a gunner and a spotter. Both tanks come with the option to equip a heavy bolter or a heavy flamer.

Astra Militarum Orders $6.00 (10 cards)

Plus other items:

Cadian Armoured Fist $60.00

Leman Russ Squadron (3 tanks) $173.25

And here is something new:

MILITARUM TEMPESTUS

Codex Militarum Tempestus $49.50

Miltarum Tempestus is out and frankly, not very impressive.  Word on teh street is the codes supplement is an epic fail.  2/3 of the book is photos with a tiny army list.

A new Forge World Collectors Edition is out and it is amazing!

RUMORS

Promethium Pipe Relay

Arrives: 2nd half of April
4 part kit once assembled:
– 2 long 6″ pipes
– 2 elbows
Priced: @$35

Not a limited kit like the Void Shield Generator

IMPERIAL GUARD

The next White Dwarf is of course going to continue with week 3 of Astra Militarum, and give us the plastic Ogryn/Bullgryn.

That gives us 4 new kits and 2 codices across 3 weeks, not too bad.

CHAOS

Sources say to look for a 2nd “CSM miniwave” about 2-3 weeks out centered on a single new kit.  This is said to be the plastic Obliterator/Mutilator kit, not the Havoc or Chosen which are still out there waiting for their week…

Now one kit does not a mini-wave make, so its possible there might also be a accompanying publication of some type or some repackaged kits like we saw with the IG.

PLUS

We have also been told to not give up hope on that rumored “Heresy inspired large IG vehicle”.  That is said to still be out there, awaiting it’s own release window that will be independent of the 3-week Astra Militarum, yet still in the near future.
