Kingdom Death: Slender Man Unboxing
Just because Kingdom Death has been doing some awesome stuff with plastic doesn’t mean they’re giving up their insanely creepy limited edition resins.
The latest is the slender man here. This is the sort of stuff that keeps bringing me back to Kingdom Death. There are literally dozens of miniatures companies out there, and most of them just keep offering up slightly different looking guys in power armor, or mechanized walkers, or zombies, or whatever. While those efforts do yield some great minis from time to time, it’s nice to have an outfit like Kingdom Death that’s always coming up with crazy new concepts. Of course when they do offer their own take on something familiar like, oh say, a knight, that usually ends up working out pretty well too – but I digress. We’re here for one of those far out, nothing-else-quite-like-it minis.
Lets start with the torso.
The amount of detail that can be captured with high quality resin casts like this one never ceases to amaze me.
Here’s the view from the other side, along with his coat tails.
Here’s the head. I think those are supposed to be veins. This guy definitely has that Kingdom Death creep factor we’ve all come to know and love.
The same is true of these long spindly arms.
While this is the other hand, they both have the same level of detail.
Tentacle time!
It seems like there’s always flash when the pieces being cast are all spindly like these are.
Hopefully you’re not too into tentacles because these are the last ones.
Like all the limited edition resins from Kingdom Death, these come with a business card sized portrait, and a certificate of authenticity.
And also a postcard sized print.
~ As I write this there are still some Slender Mans left in the Kingdom Death shop! Hopefully there will still be some left by the time the Master of Scheduling posts this article. While this guy will be released as an expansion for the Kingdom Death: Monster game, this may be your last chance to get one in resin.
