40K Roundup 6-15-14
It’s been busy week on the GW News and rumor front this week. Let’s catch up!
Chaos / Daemon Rumors
We’ve heard that there is an untraditional Chaos release window on the far side of Orks during the summer. We’ve been told to look for:
– Chaos Daemons Release Window
– 3-4 Week release period
– Daemon themed Apoc Warzone Book
– New CD Dataslates
– New CD Formations
See anything missing in there? Strangely no mention of a codex, so it may be a “get out a bunch of models” (I’m betting the plastic Major Daemons) and support books only, like we saw with the Helbrute/ CSM release window.
There is conflicting info on next week’s Greenskins:
First, this weekend’s White Dwarf says it’s Oddboyz (see below)
Ork/40K New Releases
Mek Gunz and Shokk Attack Guns are unveiled by GW, and they aren’t alone. Here’s all the latest releases:
Mek Gunz $46
One of four deadly Mek Gunz, this clanky field gun has enough dakka to crush even the toughest of targets. Crewed by long-suffering grots the Mek Gunz have heralded the end for many a hapless foe.
Based on lifta-droppa technology, this weapon traps it’s target in a localised force field. It then hoists them aloft and, with horrible finality, crushed them like a massive invisible fist. Ofcourse, the biggest hazard for those facing the Mek Gunz is that, until they start firing, no-one is really sure what they will do.
This multi-part plastic kit makes one of four possible Mek Gunz and has a six-strong grot crew. It can be assembled as a bubblechukka, a smasha gun, a traktor kannon or a kustom mega-kannon.
Big Mek w/ Shokk Attack Gun $37
Big Mek’s are obsessed with creating ever larger and more devastating war machines to unleash upon their foes. Their (often calamitous) endeavours have spawned some deadly dakka, one particularly volatile creation is the Shokk Attack Gun.
By projecting a narrow force field tunnel through the Warp that opens at the front of the gun with the exit point created wherever the operator aims it. Herds of snotlings – along with the odd squig – are hurled down a hellish Warp tunnel. As the Mek does his best to aim at the exact location of the enemy soldiers, the Warp-crazed snotlings emerge scrapping, clawing and biting not so much at, the ranks of the foe but rather rematerializing actually inside the foe themselves.
This multi-part plastic kit makes one Ork Big Mek with Shokk Attack Gun.
