Plastic Dudesmen #… Time to Hang up the Pens/Wacom/Etc
Goatboy here and today I am going to put the comic on hold. It’s been blast and here’s what’s going on:
I’ve been very busy with commission work, getting ready for the kid, and even just wanting to have time to work on other art ideas. So instead of getting lower quality on the comic I’ve decided to take a break.
I am still going to be writing articles. I will still copy and paste units. I will still discuss random hobby related things and do reviews of models. I will still get all the lovely comments I normally get and instead of getting bogged down trying to put together something “funny” I will instead invest that time in other work.
Will this comic ever come back? Not sure as I just know I need to stop for awhile. I want to give a big shout out to Wyatt for helping me out for so long. Without him it would have been a much sadder piece of work. I want to thank all the others that helped with strip ideas by emailing me. I even want to thank the commentators as they gave me a chuckle as my small bit of humor seemed to destroy their sanity week by week.
Really I want to say thank you to the Fans. Sorry I have to step away. I think 170 is pretty good eh? Over 3 years worth of strips. Who would have thought it would have lasted that long.
I have been wanting to work on a post apocalyptic/samurai/western/thing for awhile now and I just needed to find the time to put towards this. It has been too long since I have done some long form storytelling. Will see if I get it done and instead get pulled into the whirlwind of kid/life/work.
BigRed wants me to say if any aspiring wargaming comic authors want the Plastic Dudesmen spot, please email us ASAP at the contact list for BoLS (subjectline: COMICS). Ok that is it – time to think of an idea for an Ork article for Monday. Maybe I will just spam 20 Looted Wagons eh?
