HOBBY: Welcome to the (Death) Korps! Part 1
Hi! I`m Tommy from the blog bigbossredskullz and we are making a Death Korps of Krieg army!
Time to let the Chaos Dwarfs rest on the shelf a bit and get a new project started! For those disappointed in not seeing Chaos Dwarfs this week, worry not. I will get back to them but I really needed a break from them and I think it’s smart to change things up once in a while (not all the time..).
Death Korps of Krieg is one of those armies that really caught my eye out of Forge Worlds range. It’s one of their very best is my opinion so I’m very excited to finally get started on them!
Theme
I guess it’s no surprise that it will still be a winter theme. Though I do want to evolve the scheme further. I won’t do any resin bases and mini plinths this time. On my test figure for the infantry you can see what I’m aiming for.
So branches, undergrowth and wet and heavy snow aka wet and cold feet. I still think I need to touch up a few things. Maybe some yellow on the undergrowth.
The trooper I’m very happy with. I think I nailed the blueish grey properly. Note that the officers will have a more ornate uniform.
Armour
Now this is where the fun really begins if you ask me! I will include a knight, leman russes and chimeras but my test figure for the armour is what must be the cutest little thing. The centaur.
Heavily weathered white armour. Not so bad to work with as I thought actually. Still some details to do before I call it done.
