HOBBY: Welcome to the (Death) Korps! Part 2
A lot of WiPs going on these week as I want to get a playable force ready as soon as possible!
Hi! I`m Tommy from the blog bigbossredskullz and we are making a Death Korps of Krieg army!
So I got the Vraks trilogy (IA 5-7) and a lot more DKoK and even though it hurts my orky heart it is undoubtedly a better product than IA8. Shocking (for me at least ) but true..
Still I’ve now got a pretty clear picture of what I want to do with my DKoK. First I’ll start with a low model list so I can get it playable. That’s the armoured list for you. I mean leman russes as troop choices – what’s not too like 😀 I also got hold of a second hand knight and I’ll add him into the armoured part. The second installment will be a siege regiment with fortifications, a lot of infantry, all of my heavy weapon teams and my artillery. First it’s the base stuff in the armoured list though.
Infantry company command squad
I could’ve taken the leman russ command tank but I like the command squad miniatures and the centaur so they’re my main choice.
Pretty stock but what can you do to these already really detailed miniatures? I did do some work on the command centaur.
Kept it pretty similar to my first centaur but added a larger dozer blade and a larger antenna as it’s natural for a command unit to need better comms. Someone mentioned that I should use something thinner for the largest antenna but I don’t know. I rather like this one.
Grenadier squads 11 and 12
One melta toting squad and one flamer squad. On the heavy flamer team I had to replace the stock hoses that where meant to tie it all together. Resin is harder to work with than plastic that’s for sure! Some more pics of these in the blog.
In addition
To complete my first part of the armoured Krieg list at 1500 points I’m including 3 leman russes that I’m expecting in the mail (soon I hope). A 10 strong infantry squad and finally a knight. This is how the knight looked when I got him.
I’m currently pulling him apart and will put him together in a totally different way. That’s it for this week! If you want to keep track on my WiPs (I update several times a week) just keep an eye out here.
Anyone else stacking the unpainted pile high?
