ModCube Modular Tokens Now On Kickstarter
3rd Dimension Gear has taken to Kickstarter with an interesting idea for gaming tokens: ModCubes, modular dice tokens. Each ModCube can be configured to hold six common tokens for your favorite sci-fi miniature games. ModCubes currently come in black, burgundy, orange, and purple, and their modular design allows you to mix and match colors.
As for token sets, ModCubes currently come in Dogfight (For X-Wing), Sci-Fi Vehicles (For 40k), Sci-Fi Infantry (Also 40k), and Infinite (For Infinity). You can also get blank sets. 3rd Dimension Gear hopes to regularly produce new ModCube sets for other games, and are currently working on a set for Malifaux.
For $30 you can get 8 ModCubes and 60-120 acrylic tokens, depending on the set you bought. If 8 just isn’t enough for you, there are packs of 16 for $55, 24 for $80, and so on, with up to 80 cubes for $290. The project has already surpassed its $15,000 goal with a month left to go.
Anyone here thinking about Kickstarting or otherwise buying some ModCubes? If so, for what game?
