Recently I got a couple of 6mm scale miniatures from Onslaught Miniatures – let’s have a look!

First we have a set of infantry from across their ranges:

So how small is 6mm?
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThat small!

The first impression is very good. The metal is extremly hard and I have the feeling it would rather break than bend. Definitely what you want for this scale.

The big guy is a Tengu Assault Rig of the Okami Technocracy Combine:

Next in line is a Sectnid Mercenary:

The Sisterhood is one of the factions that has the most units so far, like this Athena Battle Suit armed with dual drum-fed assault shot guns:

Avian Raptors represent an extremely rare genetic mutation as they are born with a pair of fully functional wings:

Then we have two Stygians, a Hunter and a Gargoyle:OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

And last but not least, a Terran Hybrid Standard Bearer:

As you can see, these miniatures are superb! The amount of details is simply astonishing.

Here is a scale shot with a Perry Miniatures Brit and a 15mm Darkest Star soldier:

In addition to the infantry I got an Sisterhood Vesta Support Tank

This is a very nicely detailed model, too, and it fits perfectly to the infantry:

The most impressive miniature by far is the OTC Kaiju Mega Rig, in this case armed with a Railcannon and a Shield Generator:

This thing is the size of a small Titan and stands up easily to a 28mm miniature:

Last but not least, a blister of OTC Neo Shinobi Snipers

Those come in packs of 25 and the five different sculpts are present in roughly even numbers (4-5-5-5-6 in my case). To show what can be done with them I mounted 10 on a cavalry base:

Painting 6mm is quite different from what you do with 28mm miniatures, and because of the extreme zoom mistakes are more prominent in pictures.

Nevertheless, I am quite satisfied with the result:

Conclusion: The Onslaught Miniatures 6mm range is amazing. All the miniatures I got are of a very high quality and feature so much detail that painting them becomes even more challenging.

And to give you a small taste of what is coming in the future:
The Yamato Super Heavy Lander for teh OTC has just been announced and the first 15mm scale sets (based on the 6mm range) should be available very soon!

Impressive range, I can’t wait to get my hands on the 15mm versions!
