What can we say – it looks like at very long last we can see the light at the end of the Summer of Sigmar and we have concrete info that new Tau minis are on the way:

New Tau Minis

Here is what we know about the release from the images, and the previous info from retailers:

Retailer Info

Retailers have been reporting the following kits have been removed to mandatory stocking, meaning they will almost certainly be updated shortly or replaced:

  • Tau Commander Crisis Suit
  • Tau Crisis Suit Box
  • Tau Riptide
  • Tau Fire Warriors

New Kits

From yesterday’s pictures we can see the following new kits:

Tau Schedule

White Dwarf 89 lists October 10th as it’s date and is focused on the XV95 Ghostkeel.  Note that is also mentions a minigame for the XV128 Stormsurge.  That small text treatment implies that the Stormsurge may be featured in the previous unseen White Dwarf 88 arriving on October 3rd.  It seems unlikely that such am impressive kit would not receive it’s own dedicated White Dwarf debut.

Working forward from today we end up with this schedule:

wd86-cover

September 19th (White Dwarf 86) Khorne Clamback / Battletome

September 26th (White Dwarf 87) Said to be Skarbrand the Exile Bloodthirster

October 3rd (White Dwarf 88) Unknown, AoS Realm of Battle board or Tau XV128 possible

October 19th (White Dwarf 89) Tau XV95 Ghostkeel
