All hail the skullthrone! Skarbrand the Exile lands for us mortals to see in the round! – and what a “mini” it is!

I have to say I LOVE Skarbrand.
He looks good, he’s looks massive, and his pose matches his background perfectly. I think the model matches the damaged, deranged, and enraged vibe that is everything Skarbrand should be. The model has a very different visual feel than the standard Bloodthirster, and yet perhaps the reason I love him is the fantastic sculpting hat-trick GW pulled off.
Bacause Skarbrand is only 1 new sprue – his second sprue is SHARED with the standard Bloodthirster kit.
That’s right, go back and look at the original plastic Bloodthirster and it’s two sprues. Skarbrand shares the default “body, arms and weapons” sprue of the original, and adds this unique 2nd sprue:
This one sprue had to be 3D sculpted to fit exactly with the previous one, yet add enough new pieces to give the big dude everything from his tattered wings, to his new axes, smashed face, new walking legs to that fantastically cool braided with bones “Goatee of Khorne”.
Well done GW – Well done!
Skarbrand is big, he’s impressive, and it provides a Khornate army a fantastic centerpiece model to look good on the tabletop.
