Decree of Ruin is the first expansion pack for the upcoming Planetfall Cycle in Warhammer 40K: Conquest and it’s making the trip from the printers to your local retailers right now. This War Pack has cards for every faction, but if you’re playing either the Astra Militarum or Tau get ready for some new Warlords!
The Planetfall Cycle is also introducing a new mechanic that gives your armies boosts based on the type of planets they are fighting over.
Decree of Ruin is shaping up to be a pretty great looking launch to an exciting new chapter of Conquest. Starblaze’s ability allows him to snag some powerful Astra Millitarum units in exchange for not bringing Space Marines or Eldar allies. This is a theme we’ll continue to see throughout the rest of the Planetfall Cycle.
I’m really glad Fantasy Flight Games puts in cards for every faction – I think this not only encourages you to collect them all, it also enables you to build and play all the different decks. Sure, I might be a Space Marine player at heart but there is no reason I can’t take a Dark Eldar themed deck out for a spin with some Chaos allies.
Decree of Ruin along with the rest of the Planetfall Cycle is shaping up to be a pretty great addition to the Warhammer 40K: Conquest LCG. If you’re not at least dabbling in this one you’re really missing out!
