Some initial thoughts.

We’ve seen rumors of these for a long while – 7 months in fact.  Many people heaped abuse on these rumormongers who it turns out got it right:

Regarding the Space Marine vs Tau boxed set:

– Raven Guard vs Tau and should be out before Heresy release.

This looks to right up the same alley as the Stormclaw and Shield of Baal campaigns.  It looks to tie in the new Tau release window with an Imperial Raven Guard opposition. There will be new miniatures released for both sides, and if the pattern from Stormclaw and Shield of Baal continues, a pair of campaign themed starter boxed sets.  Hopefully we will get to see the Raven Guard finally get some miniatures love like a 1st Founding Chapter deserves!
