D&D: Gold Box Classic Collections Available on GOG
The ‘Nostalgia’ is strong with this one – The Gold Box Classics are ready to invade your PC!
Wizards of the Coast and GOG have re-released 3 PC gaming classic collections, affectionately known as the “Gold Box Games” up for purchase. For those of you who may not know GOG is digital distribution platform where you can purchase digital copies of games. The cool part is they have a back catalog of some of the great “old school” games as well as new hits. The games in these three collections span hundreds of hours of game play and are classic RPGs in their own right.

Archives Collection 3 $5.99
The Forgotten Realms Archives: Collection Three marks the conclusion of the Archives compilation and a change in development from Strategic Simulations Inc. to Dreamforge Intertainment. As SSI’s swan song to the Forgotten Realms universe, these titles celebrate the elements of the AD&D video games that you know and love—vast dungeons and beautiful locations to explore, a wide variety of monsters to slay, quests to complete, adventurers to assemble and worlds to be saved. Includes: Dungeon Hack and Menzoberranzan.
Platforms: PC—Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10), Mac OS X (10.7.0+) and Linux (Ubuntu 14.04, Mint 17)
You can also pick up classics like Baldur’s Gate I & II as well as Neverwinter Nights and The Temple of Elemental Evil. You know…if you need a reason to never leave your house again. Now I just need to find time to play these instead of painting those miniatures. Need more hobby time!!
PSA: Don’t fall victim to the “one more turn” syndrome.
