40K HOBBY: Beluga 61 #12 – Chapter 666
While fighting off the urge to buy the Betrayal at Calth box this happened while working on my test figure for a 30k legion – a Grey Knight!
Hi! I’m Tommy from the blog bigbossredskullz. I’m also on Facebook. I’ve made a few armies in my hobby column so far. Now it’s time for some proper terrain to play on as well as some more INQ28 warbands!
Chapter 666
As I mentioned I was originally working on a test figure after some suggestions on my blog just to see if I wanted to invest in the whole 30k/BaC thing. Two things struck me quite early though:
1) True scale is much more fun!
2) Not grimdark enough!
This led to some quick brainstorming and I ended up with wanting to see a Grey Knight who was not the shiny knight but a being possessed by fanaticism, warding himself against evil. After all, what horrors haven’t he seen?
I avoided GK bits but used other parts to get the same design cues in.
The candles just felt right and add to the look and feel. Note that I’m fully aware that he’s not armed like a normal GK but I’m not so fussed about that. It looks better this way imo. Some more angles here.
True scale dreadnought
As the “truescale bug” has really hit me hard I started working on a truescale dread as well! Some early WiPs here.
That’s it for this week! Make sure you check out my blog regularly, I update several times a week!
How about that for a Grey Knight?
