GEEKERY: A First Look at Warcraft

The social life killing MMORPG is coming to the big screen in 2016, and the first trailer is here…

First thoughts: I think Duncan Jones is a bit of an odd pick for the project, but his story telling chops may be a perfect fit for the genre. It looks like the project has potential to be something big (and different in a minefield of comic book movies), and possibly pull in audiences that aren’t hooked on the game… maybe it can beat the curse of the video game movie. Maybe… possibly sorta kinda….

What do you think – does it look like it’s worth the admission price or does it look like a dud in the making?
