Today Nomad Games is pleased to officially announce the launch date of Talisman: The Horus Heresy. Set to kick off on February 22nd via Steam, Nomad Games is very pleased to finally have a date set for the digital fusion of Talisman and of the Horus Heresy storyline.

Nomad Games first brought the multiplayer version of the Games Workshop board game Talisman to PC, tablets and mobile devices in 2014, with the brand selling over one million units to date.
Its follow-up Talisman: The Horus Heresy is set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe during the cataclysmic events of the Horus Heresy, and will be released on PC and Mac on February 22nd, 2016. The game will also be released on mobile formats in the Spring. More news on those formats is forthcoming.

Talisman: The Horus Heresy is a digital board game based on the Talisman rule system and set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, during the cataclysmic events of the Horus Heresy.
Up to four players will be able to take control of one or more of the galaxy’s greatest heroes or most notorious villains. Taking the side of either traitor or loyalist, these Warlords will form vast companies of Space Marines, battalions of tanks and battlefleets of Spacecraft. They are the most powerful beings in the Galaxy and their followers are legion.

We’ve talked to developer Nomd who confirms that this is a fairly close rendition of the Talisman boardgame in the digital realm – and of course transposed into the world of the Horus Heresy. I see a variety of legions, Primarchs and even the Emperor himself up there.
