Operation Linebreaker is the BIG, full-day event. It’s not a “tournament” it’s a linked campaign…4 rounds, 750 point armies and as many players as you can get. Ideally you’d have an even number and spilt them in to two thematic teams. The team with the most victory points at the end wins!
This one is a big multiplayer throw-down. Two sides, 500-750 points per player (depending on space and players) and a big ol’ mega battle ensues. This is the one I’m most interested in just because the points limit is small and the opportunity for player interaction is huge. But that’s just me – I like big multiplayer games!
This one is interesting as well. It’s a quick 500 point game 1v1. I like the idea of a King of the Hill where the winner stays and fights the next challenger. You could have multiple tables of this running so winners fight winners or however you want to set it up. It’s different take on a competitive game day.
I really like the sound of this whole Tank Shock Organized play event. I can see why they suggested a 3 month time frame as well. That let stores run the “hobby/community building” events the first month or so and then all of these Tank Shock Gameplay scenarios in the 2nd and 3rd months. I think a big event like the “Linked Campaign” or “Mechanized Strike” event would be a great capstone on the series.
