Come get a better look at the latest “giant” mini from Games Workshop.  This one is pretty high up on the divisive-meter!

It looks like what we have seen of late from the larger models from GW – a monopose model with multiple heads for variety (2 in this case).

It’s quite large – it looks to be somewhere in between the Fyreslayer Magmadroth and new Archaon mounted model.  The armor plates / barding on the Star Drake may or may not be optional, but some portions such as the knee armor appear to be molded into the leg parts.  So I would bet that they are integral to the design. It is difficult to tell in the above pictures if the wings are identically posed or if there are two sets of optional positions of that left wing in particular.

Some people are really taken aback by the positioning of the wings on Star-Drake and others have compared it unfavorably to the recent Archaon centerpiece miniature.  Others appreciate the new take on a large plastic “dragon” from GW.

Here are some of the “large centerpiece models” as comparisons for you to see.

We will have to wait for the 360-view videos before we get a better idea of the overall design.

~What to you think of the new model? Thumbs up or thumbs down?
