GW is coming back to Organized Play.  Some samples of the upcoming prize support has been spotted!

First a very quick catchup:

GAMA-2016

This week the GAMA tradeshow is occurring at Bally’s casino & resort in Las Vegas.  This is the major north american industry tradeshow for game manufacturers.

Games Workshop is in attendance this year (see the floormap) and isn’t just manning a booth.  They held multiple seminars including one Wednesday, March 16th titled “Build Community”

There was apparently some big news in there. BoLS has been told the following was revealed during the seminar:

GW will be returning to Organized Play! (read the details here)

Further confirmation from a GAMA Seminar Atendee (via the BoLS Facebook Page)

Derrick Correia: “I am attending Gama. The details were light but there will be a tournament or campaign for 40k called tank shock. It will somehow involve a tank or monstrous unit.”

The Swag Sighted

There are a set of images doing the rounds on Facebook from the seminar, showing some early examples of swag:

These samples appear to be Warhammer 40,000 related and show a “TANK SHOCK” event, with “Engines of War” and “Armoured Escalation:Youngbloods” sub-categories.  The prizes are broken down into Gold, Silver and Bronze levels.  The top image shows “Tank Ace” and “Tank Hunter” pins, plus what appears to be sheets of heavy cardstock punchout tokens. On the lowermost image we see a stack of fliers for the “TANK SHOCK” event and the phrase “Awesome Activities In-Store”

There is still no word on the timing of the Organized Play program, but it’s happening folks!
