GEEKERY: Astronaut Scott Kelly Shares Windows on Earth
Over 1k amazing and gorgeous high-res images from the International Space Station – these are a must see!
Astronaut Scott Kelly returned to Earth last night after 340 days on the space station – one of the longest space flight durations, and a new record stay on ISS for an American astronaut. He did a press conference before his return…
“I have taken a lot of pictures because I’ve been up here for a long time. I’ve definitely taken some good ones and some memorable ones.”
Kelly tweeted over 1,000 images over the course of his stay, which are being transfered to his new site Windows to Earth. If you’re in need of a new desktop image, or just a break from life for an hour or two, you need to check it out. The images are jaw dropping.
Kelly captured the auroras…
Cities lit up at night…
Sunrises…
And the beauty that is our planet…
Once the entire collection is uploaded the site will also house a collection of movies and shots of every day life on ISS.
So… what’s your new desktop pic?
