“You’ll find the Battle for Vedros range in toy stores across the USA and Canada this summer. We’ll be posting up new stockists as they are announced.”
That’s right folks – it’s coming! This is a good move to get new players interested in the game this summer and hopefully it will be a much broader reach. Now lets check out some of the other details.
Games Workshop also launched two new sites for Battle for Vedros. One for the retailers and one for the customers:

Battle for Vedros is a Warhammer 40,000 product range specifically designed for Toy Stores.
It incorporates learnings from years of successful product launches, and decades of successful sales in Toy Stores across Europe and beyond. Especially designed for the US and European Toy Store environment, the products come with full certification and a proven track history of sales from its parent Warhammer 40,000 product line.
The range is small and easy to stock, coming with its own dispenser. The products themselves have been designed with easy accessibility in mind; meaning customers who are attracted to them instore, but have no modelling, painting or gaming experience, will find them easy to engage with.
On this page you’ll find useful documents such as our terms and conditions, who your local rep is, and resources such as images for promotional materials to download to use. If you’d like to know more about how the product works, please visit the customers’ Battle for Vedros website here
They also have a huge “Why stock Battle for Vedros” which is basically a brief sales pitch section and who to market the game towards. The also list all of the Trade Contacts for any Toy Stores out there who may be interested:
The Downloads & Support section has all the relevant Documents including Retailer Policy, Terms and Conditions of Sale and Agent Order Form.

The Customer facing page is geared toward customers with their 4 sections of “Collect, Build, Paint & Play” sections. Each one is pretty self explanatory. However, what I do appreciate are the quick videos to go along with 3 of those sections:
Build
Paint
Play
It’s a pretty big move by Games Workshop and now it’s just a matter of waiting to see how this one pans out. If you see a surge in younger gamers this summer you’ll have a good idea why. And remember to be nice – everyone was new at some point.
The Battle for Vedros is coming this summer – will it capture the minds of the next generation of gamers? Guess we’ll find out!
