RUMOR: “No More Betrayal at Calth Expansions”
One of the most accurate Rumormongers talks about the future of Betrayal at Calth and clarifies what “expansions” are on the way…

There is no Betrayal at Calth expansion (not counting White Dwarf material and possibly something digital).
There is a separate HH-based game, but it was written before Calth hit the shelves. It is no more an expansion to Calth than Overkill is an expansion to Execution Force. It simply shares the same setting/time period.
There you have it folks – Betrayal at Calth isn’t getting a direct boxed set expansion. However, there is SEPARATE Horus Heresy based game on the way. What does this mean to the future of those Horus Heresy Plastic kits? What about this new Horus Heresy based game – are they one and the same?
It really sounds like this is just a confirmation that more Horus Heresy goodies are on the way and not more Betrayal at Calth – they are the “same setting/time period” but different “games” per se.
If it were up to me, then Games Workshop would absolutely produce more Plastic Kits for Horus Heresy. The real question is what kits could they mass produce in plastic that wouldn’t step on Forge World’s toes. The more generic armor sets might be a good idea (think older armor marks). Rhinos are a pretty obvious choice as well. The Plastic Contemptor is already there but I’m sure there will be a new kit with more weapon options with more a more “posable” form. The trick is they have to be generic enough that any Legion can use them and they can be used with Forge World’s Legion specific upgrade kits.
What do you think? What kits would you love to see that aren’t Legion Specific? Sicarius? Predator? Bikes? Let us know in the comments below!
