This Week’s Tabletop Podcast Reviews 4/30 – 5/6
Hey all, Bahkara here for this week’s reviews! With the big 40K FAQ drop we already have at least one review of it and I expect more in the coming weeks. That being said, lets get on with it!
Masters of the Forge Episode 51 – This episode has another special announcement as Snorre has decided to leave the show for now and Jason joins the show on the other side of the mic. This episode they discuss daemon worlds and how to go about creating your own. Good information for those wanting to create worlds in the Eye of Terror. Snorre will still be around for another episode or two so expect him for a few more weeks..
Heroic Intervention Special Intervention – A special episode due to the FAQ that GW dropped earlier in the week. They actually go over every question in the rulebook FAQ, which is more than I’m willing to do. They discuss the possible intent and impact that the new rulings will have on the scene. If you have a few hours free and don’t want to read the whole FAQ then download this episode.
Battlehosts Episode 17 – Part two of their Eldar coverage. They continue with a look at all of the Eldar races. They look into list build and the various tactics you have available to you within the race. They eaven provide some sample armies for each that you can follow if just starting out. Good episode for those that are looking into start Eldar. More importantly they numbered their episodes but it could just be me 😉
Preferred Enemies Episode 125 – In celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Space Marines, the group focus on the Imperium’s finest this episode. They talk about the special figure and the “Start Collecting” box from GW. Again, they go over the fluff reasons you would want to play the army in addition to the rules, or game play, reasons you would want to play the army. Again, give a listen if you’re thinking of fielding a space marine army.
Independent Characters Episode 132 & Life After the Cover Save Episode 175 – Both shows had recently traveled to the UK to attend Salute. In each of their episodes they discuss their trip to the convention, the GW headquarters, Forgeworld, and other game companies that they visited. Nice listen, especially if you have never been or don’t plan on going anytime soon.
