40K BREAKING: Plastic Eldrad Sighting!
You heard that right – an all new Edlrad Ulthran on plastic sprues has been spotted in the wild. Get in here!

There has been talk for several months that GW is moving to replace the ancient finecast characters with plastic clampacks and Eldrad is a good place to start. His mini is ancient and of the old flat 2-dimensional posing of it’s time period.
Henceforth known as “Classic Eldrad”
Taking a look at the sprue, there is no doubt it’s Eldrad with his unique Staff of Ulthamar – and Armour of the Last Runes. You can’t miss that anywhere. Note that there is no head on here, so this looks to be a 2-sprue kit, with one unseen.
This of course leads to more questions such as when is Eldrad arriving:
- A totally random bolt from the blue release?
- Part a Craftworld release wave?
- Part of a campaign release?
There have bene rumors of that Chaos Campaign book coming and then we have the end of the Curse of the Wulfen series. There are certainly plenty of opportunities for him to show up.
