There’s Slaanesh talk out there folks and what the future may hold for the kinkiest Major Daemon of them all.

We’ve had a new plastic Bloodthirster & Skarbrand for over a year.  Daemon Prince Magnus is almost here and there has been talk of a plastic Lord of Change for quite some time. Out of the blue comes some interesting tidbits on what Nottingham has in store for an updated plastic Keeper of Secrets:

Industry professionals say:

  • The biggest challenge has been to balance the new design to be uniquely Slaaneshi while not being too overtly adult or sexual in nature.
  • Model size is 6-7″ in height
  • Look for the standard digitigrade legs with the “backwards” joints to remain.
  • 4 arms, large crustacean claws below, hands up top.
  • Multiple weapon options for the upper hands: blades, whips, etc…
  • Corset style torso armor, covering breasts.
  • Heavily decorated skin pierced with rings and jewelry, and scarification emblems.
  • Head is highly elongated with a humanlike face, yet sporting deamonic elements including multiple sets of horns, several tongue options, and sets of inhuman teeth.

Thoughts

The multiple weapon options leads me to think we will see several minor rules variants of the KoS just as with the Bloodthirster. There are a lot of similarities with the older models here and this sounds like a merging of design elements from the old metal KoS design elements with Forge World’s Zarakynel.

That combined with the baroque corset the plastic Daemonettes and a heavy dose of body modification could do the trick. It would give the KoS a “Slaaneshi” vibe that shies away from the sexual side of things and moves into the the counter culture side of things.

The entire thing makes me think of Xerxes’ over the top costume design from 300. Zack Snyder never saw a patch of open skin he couldn’t leave alone on the Persians.

~ I could go with that kind of vibe from Slaanesh. How about you?
