Geekery: Iron Fist Gets a Punchy New Trailer
Netflix spills the beans at NYCC – details on Iron Fist, The Punisher, and The Defenders.
Finn Jones as Danny Rand gets more lines and way more punches in then he did in the SDCC teaser. Cast also includes Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, and David Wenham as Harold Meachum. Show runner is Scott Buck – who worked on Dexter.

As for the other bits of news…
It has been confirmed that we will see 13 episodes of The Punisher in 2017 – production is under way. Jon Bernthal is returning as the best Frank Castle yet. The cast recently added Ben Barnes has been cast as Billy Russo, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as former NSA analyst Micro, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Amber Rose Revah as Homeland Security agent Dinah Madani. Steve Lightfoot is producing – he worked on Hannibal and Narcos, so he knows how to make dark with a dump truck full of violence work.
The Defenders has cast its villain (well one, at least)…
No news on Jessica Jones season 2 or Daredevil season 3 just yet. Last I checked we’re not getting them till late 2017, possibly 2018.
