Geekery: Logan Gets a Trailer
One thing is for sure: it’s got plenty of grit and melancholy.
The new trailers just keep coming…
First off: music choice – nicely done.
This trailer has a different tone – and less CG – than I’m used to seeing from Fox’s X-Men. It’s got an otherworldly kind of quality to it, and it feels more like a man against the world thriller than a super hero movie. I like it.
They’re definitely getting ideas from Old Man Logan with the aging aspect, missing mutants, and the dystopian feel. Curious to see what they come up with to fill the gaps because they can’t do a true adaptation – several of the required characters are off limits due to Marvel having the rights.
I’m digging this preview – will see how that feeling holds up over next several months.
