We’ve got another sight of some more Games Workshop Terrain Kits and we need your help internet detectives!

The November White Dwarf has quite a bit of information inside but it’s also got a few hidden gems buried inside as well. Tyler Mengel over at Mengel Miniatures pointed this one out – Thanks Tyler!

That new statue is with the spear and shield certainly looks like a Lizardmen Seraphon to me. I’d also like to point out that it’s actually two different statues – one has the shield on the right side, the other has the shield on the left. New dual statue kit? It would make sense as it could be some type of “lizard gate” thing.

Also, let’s re-examine the top picture again. That Stardrake is on top of something that looks like a new kit to me. Now, it could just be the realm of battle board Shattered Dominion with a LOT of custom work done.

Maybe they cut out the circles and built them up as a new custom terrain kit. They could have built it out of the old Tower of Sorcery Bits or maybe the old Dreadstone Blight kit.

It’s hard to tell from the photo as that could also just be part of the board – if it’s a custom board then it would make even more sense. Either way, it’s a bit of mystery! Could Games Workshop be hiding hints in plain sight again? Wouldn’t be the first time…

Personally, I’m really glad to see them experimenting with non-traditional terrain types (i.e. non-Humanoid Terrain). I’d love to 40k get the same treatment that these AoS inspired pieces are getting. I think Terrain designers could really go nuts with all the possibilities. Heck, I even tossed out a few suggestions for them.

What do you think about these mystery terrain pieces?
